UIC Honors Glen Ellyn Resident With Distinguished Alumni Award

Michael Doyle, a Glen Ellyn resident, was recently honored by the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Applied Health Sciences.

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Applied Health Sciences has honored a Glen Ellyn resident for his philanthropic contributions and his work in bioinformatics.

Michael Doyle, earned a BA in medical art (now known as biomedical visualization) in 1983 from UIC. On May 4, he was honored as the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from UIC. The award was given out during the Applied Health Sciences Alumni and Faculty Awards Dinner, according to UIC. 

After earning his BA at UIC he went on to earn a doctorate in cell and structural biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, according to UIC. He is the founder of Eolas Technologies Inc., which brings to market bioinformatics technologies and currently the CEO of Eolas’ research and development subsidiary, Iomas Research LLC.
