Pioneer Clubs Appoints New President/CEO Brian Ondracek

Pioneer Clubs’ Board of Directors is pleased to announce that they unanimously voted  to appoint Brian D. Ondracek as the ministry’s new President and CEO. Board members made the decision after a national search that began late last year after employing the services of SIMA international, an executive search firm. Ondracek will formerly take the position beginning in July.
“The ministry focus of Pioneer Clubs resonates with my desire to be involved in ministry work,” Ondracek said. “The goals of Pioneer Clubs are ones for which I have great passion. As someone who has experienced the impact of a midweek program on my own life, I find this opportunity to be one into which I am excited to fully apply my gifts and abilities to.”
Ondracek brings over 15 years of vocational ministry in Christian publishing, having served in executive marketing and product development roles at Christianity Today, Tyndale House Publishers, and Crossway Books.  In the past he also worked at Moody Bible Institute as Director of Creative Services. Since June of 2012, Ondracek has been the Senior Vice President of Mission Advertising Group, a company that represents the digital assets of several Christian organizations that reach as many as 7.5 million unique visitors and delivers over 100 million advertising impressions each month.
In 1986, Ondracek received his MBA from the University of Illinois Chicago. In 1981, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from DePaul University (Chicago) and in 1979, his Bachelor of Arts from Moody Bible Institute (Chicago).
“Pioneer Clubs has an almost 75-year history of providing midweek club ministry to children,” says Board Chair, Jody Maas. “Brian’s background and experience make him the right choice for leading Pioneer Clubs into its next 75 years. We anticipate forward movement and growth of the ministry under his guidance. Brian has demonstrated leadership and integrity in his personal and professional life, which contribute to his fit with Pioneer Clubs.”
“I am confident that Ondracek is the right person to lead this organization into the future,” says Judy Bryson, who has been with Pioneer Clubs for 43 years, serving the last 17 as President and CEO. “I am so thankful for the careful leadership of the board and the expertise of the executive search firm that Pioneer Clubs employed to assist in this process.”
Ondracek will become the 14th president in Pioneer Clubs 74-year-old history. He inherits a ministry with a solid reputation for providing an educationally sound children’s Christian education program to churches for their midweek club ministries.
Ondracek has been directly and indirectly involved in children’s ministry through leading children’s and youth groups at his church, publishing and producing a variety of children’s products, and serving on the Board of the Greater Chicago Sunday School Association. Brian was active in Christian Service Brigade through his high school years, and his mother served in the Pioneer Clubs ministry at their church, both of which contributed to his appreciation for weekday children's ministries.
Ondracek currently resides in Wheaton, IL with his wife, Donna and their two sons.
Pioneer Clubs provides church-sponsored weekly club programs for boys and girls age two through middle school.  Churches use Pioneer Clubs to supplement their Christian education program. The organization is headquartered in Wheaton, Ill., and has served churches across North America with effective and educationally sound programs since 1939.
